Handicap Outdoors.
The latest Handicap Outdoors adventure started
out on Thursday, May 28, after a two day packin
excersion we finally headed out to pick up CJ
Garton, country music singer and Handicap
Outdoor prostaffer in Birmingham Alabama. After
some great ribs from Dreamland BBQ, we headed
out on the 18 hour road trip to Mountian Home
Texas for a ram hunt on the Smart Ranch Exotics
property passin’ through some great southern
states such as Mississippi and Louisanna and
almost across the entire state of Texas. We
arrived at our hotel in Kerrville Texas about 40
miles outside of Mountian Home at 10:30 am
Friday morning. After a quick cat nap and a short
drive we got to Smart Ranch. There, we met a
great bunch of wounded warriors and prostaff
members Cody and Gordon Ricketts, along with
Jimmy and Mike from Darkwoods Blinds which
would be joinin in on the weekend festivaties.
After seein’ and hearing about Friday morning’s kill
we ate lunch and dicussed plans for the evening
hunt after seeing some other great harvests, we
called it a day. Saturday only brought more
surprises, such as a potiental world record water
buffalo and prostaff members’ harvest. That night
CJ played the guitar and sang and everyone
shared past hunting experiences into the wee
hours of the morning. Sunday finally came and
after promises of meeting again and saying our
goodbyes, we all parted ways with a few new
friends and memories to last a life time we
headed back to ole Georgia! So until next time
guys and gals we hope to see ya at a show in the
woods or on a dock hunt'n for a good time.
